Writing

We are currently working on Recounts in writing. A recount is a retelling of an event that has happened in the past. A recount starts with a super sentence that includes when the event happened, who was there, where the event happened, what was done and why. Sometimes there is not a why and that is ok. Recounts should also include events in order with linking words like first, then, next, later, after, Finally. All writing should be edited carefully using C.O.P.S. (Capitalization, Organization, Punctuation, Spelling)

Students can practice this form of writing at home if parents are looking for homework for their child.
